Meeting New Friends and Lightworkers

     I am always on the look out for like minded Lightworkers in my area and on the web.  Which is why I love this site :)
    This has also lead me to join a wonderful www.meetup.com group in my local area for Psychic Development and Spirit Rescue.  The reason I mention it here is because a lot of folks are unaware of www.meetup.com  and the great little groups it can lead to (or you can create) where you meet people in person with the same interests.
     Sometimes it just feels when you are on the Spiritual Path that you don't quite connect with your friends and family on certain things anymore.  This is mostly because as you become enlightened in certain areas and change accordingly and you tend to raise your vibration. 
     This is not to say the people you have always known are "bad" or no longer necessary, it is just something that you need to acknowledge and accept.  The last thing you want to do is preach at them or try to turn them to your way of thinking.  I am sure we have all run into THAT brick wall many times with no results! lol 
     People change in their own time or sometimes not at all and that is fine. but have you all noticed that desert period in between you changing and meeting your new soul group of friends?  You start peeling away the layers of your Higher Self and the people you used to hang up with usually fade off. It gets lonely.
    Besides looking for local workshops, classes and lectures to meet folks, www.meetup.com is a great option. :)  It is also a great option to HOLD groups and workshops through for those in your area. It is a great option to meet face to face with people.

I have no association with them, just wanted to let you guys know how it has helped me in finding some great local people I resonate with.
